What is meant by organic
cotton?
The organic cotton (or biological) is a fibre plant that was
cultivated according to the strict principles of organic farming that
provides:
-- The use of non-genetically modified seeds (No-GMO)
-- The use of fertilizer of natural origin and not chemical
synthesis
-- The ban on the use of pesticides to protect cotton against pests
-- The ban on the use of herbicides to control weeds
To ensure that this is implemented there are checks and annual inspections
required by the certification.
Why use organic
cotton?
Not having contact with harmful substances, the welfare of the skin,
especially sensitive to a child, it draws great benefit, avoiding
phenomena and allergic diseases. Moreover organic fabric is soft and smooth, is
hypoallergenic and provides an excellent skin perspiration,
thus reducing the occurrence of skin reactions.
The environmental benefits are obvious, not decreasing soil
fertility, not polluting groundwater and air, not reducing biodiversity on
the planet.
